Happy Monday everyone! Hope you had a great weekend. To start off the week we are sitting down with multi-genre author L.V. Lane. Please enjoy this author interview, we sure did. Happy reading. 🙂
Please introduce yourself.
My name is Liv Lane, and I am a former English expat who now live in Brisbane, Australia.
What genre do you write?
My current published work is dark sci-fi, paranormal, vampire, Omegaverse mash-up.
What are your favorite hobbies?
I love walking in a forest or nature setting. And I also enjoy traveling and experiencing different cultures.
What do you like to do in your free time?
I’m a stereotypical writer in that I pretty much spend all my spare time writing, or doing writing-related stuff! But when I can drag myself away, I enjoy a good sci-fi or thriller…and I love dining out.
Do you have any kids, pets or both?
No children, but I have two burmilla cats (they look like little snow leopards) and I dote on them.
Are you a pantser or plotter?
Ah…I’m a bit weird in that I can be both. Some books I’ve planned, and some books I just write.
Do you write with a notebook and pen or go straight for the computer?
Both. If I am out or get an idea I can jot sentences or bullets, or even draft a whole scene in a notebook or on my phone notes. But I also sit at my PC and tap it out that way without any pre-work.
What do you like to write about?
Escapism. And the joy of creating something that did not exist before. There is a great deal of satisfaction when you complete a book. Particularly with sci-fi / fantasy / dystopian where you create entire worlds and cultures as well as the people to live there.
Tell us about your latest book?
My latest book is the final installment of the Deviant trilogy, and we see the conclusion of Lilly’s story. It’s a MFM and in the first two books we got to know her two Alpha Controllers, Ethan and Ryker…the third installment is action-packed but we get our HEA.
Is your book in a series?
It is part of the Controllers series, which is a dark, sci-fi Omegaverse.
If you are not familiar with Omegaverse there are a lot of takes on the genre, but mine is built around virally altered humans. There are thirteen viral-induced dynamics, Alpha through to Mu, and Omega. Each dynamic offers different physical and physiological benefits: intelligence, strength, memory, natural leaders or followers, or heightened skills such as mathematics or art.
Who is the main character? Tell us about them.
Lilly is a doctor and formerly the viral research Program Director before she revealed as an Omega. She is unusual for an Omega in that she retained a position on the viral program after she revealed her Omega dynamic. She is passionate about her work, confident, and determined to avoid any kind of entanglement with an Alpha. Which she was managing admirably until her homeworld came under attack…
Ethan is brimming with dark, Alpha control. He looks like an avenging angel, but he’s savage to the core.
Ryker is her other Alpha Controller and he has several psychopathic traits, or ‘psychological anomalies’ as he prefers to call them. He’s good at ‘faking’ normal, and he lives by the line his therapist provided as guidance on acceptable behavior. And while he thinks he doesn’t understand love, he would die to protect Lilly.
Individually they set Lilly’s world on fire, when they are together, it’s an inferno.
My readers love Ethan, but I’m going out on a limb here, and say I’m team Ryker.
What should we watch for in the coming months?
Book 6 in the Controllers series is being drafted and will be released before the end of the year.
I also have a light Sci-fi romance that I’m hoping to release in November
What would you like to say to your fans?
A huge thank you for all the support and the wonderful messages I get via various social media and reviews. I am still new to writing romance, and only published my first book in April this year. There are days when you get a tough or scathing review and it can be crushing, but the support of readers keeps me motivated to make my scratchings public 🙂
About L.V. Lane
I love a happy ever after, although sometimes the journey to get there can be rough on my poor characters.
An unashamed fan of the alpha, the antihero, and the throwback in all his guises and wherever he may lurk.

As an Omega, Eloise soon discovered what it meant to be the lowliest dynamic. That it was worse than being ordinary. And that she would be allocated to an Alpha. A Controller.
Some Omegas were psychic, and like bloodhounds, were excellent trackers of people. Eloise was one such Omega and was tasked with locating a missing diplomat in possession of secret research—the means to destroy the virus.
The virus had not hosted for her parents. They wanted no part of that world, considered it ungodly and corrupt and feared for her mortal soul when they discovered she had revealed as an Omega.
Should she help to retrieve the missing research and perpetuate the divide, or let it fall into enemy hands where it might be eradicated forever?
